* Selling PLR? 5 Mistakes to Avoid

It is relatively easy to make money with private label rights products, like article packs and e-books. These are products you buy, re-brand, and sell for a profit. However, if this is a new experience for you, it is easy to make mistakes. Continue reading for five PLR product mistakes you can avoid because these mistakes have the potential to lose you thousands of dollars or more!

Don't let your book gather dust!1 – Do Not Let Your Products Gather Dust

Whether you purchased one single pack of 25 PLR articles or 100 PLR e-books, do not let the files sit on your computer unused. Each second these files sit unused, you lose money. You bought the products to make money, so do it. If you are limited on time, make few e-book and article edits. Consider adding the articles on a website with ads and affiliate links or create a sales page for the e-book. When you have more time, go back, edit more, and work on marketing. Each of your products deserve attention, but don’t leave them sitting while waiting for the best time. Never forget that you will not make money until you actually use the product you bought.

2 – Do Not Leave the Documents As Is Be sure to edit!

As previously stated, make only a few edits to your PLR articles or e-books if you are in a rush. If you have the time right now to inject quality into the products, do it. Private label e-books and articles are sold for affordable prices because they are sold to many people. It is common for sellers to sell 500 or more e-books and 100 or more PLR article packs. This means a lot of competition. However, if you take the time to rewrite the articles or e-books, you essentially create a new, different version. You can market it as 100% original. This not only decreases the competition, but it increases your earnings too!

3 – Not Researching All Your Options

As previously stated, PLR e-book buyers make money by rewriting all or a portion of an e-book and selling it to interested readers. This is great, but it is not your only option. Why not dissect that e-book and create mini articles. Not only can you sell the e-book, but also you now have a website that can generate income through affiliate programs and pay-per-click advertising. The same can be done with PLR articles. You can also take those articles, combine them, arrange in a different order, and delete the duplicated information. You now have an e-book!

Squeeze the most out of your product!4 – Not Getting the Most from Your PLR Products

This mistake ties in with not researching all your options. When most individuals buy a 25 pack of articles, it is because they are creating a website. That website can be a paid membership website or generate income through ads. Considering that most PLR articles sell for around $1 each, you can easily turn a profit in a few days or weeks at the most. Nevertheless, there are steps you can take to increase your profits even more. Consider the topic. Do you have a pack of articles on how to choose a cosmetic surgeon? If so, most of the same tips apply for choosing other medical professionals, such as family doctors, chiropractors, dentists, and surgeons. Interchange a few words in each article and you now have four more websites to create. You can do the same with e-books too!

Creating more than one product5 – Relying on Only One Product

As previously stated, you can easily take one pack of 25 articles, which you may have paid $25 for and spin those articles to create more. You should do this, but keep on buying PLR articles and e-books. The more PLR articles and e-books you re-brand and sell, the more money you make. Plus, this moneymaking opportunity is considered passive income. After posting your e-book for sale, you may get 1,000 sales in the first year. Although those sales will begin to taper, they will always come. You keep earning money overtime. It’s also important to continue adding to your PLR collection for future products you can flip and profit with.

* Create Two or Three Products From One

Creating ContentFor instance, turn your eBook’s content into videos.

Private label right products give you specific rights. For example, if you buy a PLR e-book, you have the ability to leave as is, make edits, add your name as the author, and then sell. Digital e-books have rapidly increased in popularity. One reason is that people use internet and computers more, and use mobile devices more. For many buyers, it is easier to read the information they need in a digital book than a printed book. You will make money if you buy a PLR e-book, re-brand it, and post it for sale online. However, that is not all you should do. You can expand your profits by also taking that “for sale” e-book and transforming it into a video or audio book. Why?

It is easy. To create a video, all you need is a video camera. Some also use webcams, but make sure yours is good quality. Most cameras already come equipped withEasy filmingUSB cables to connect to your computers. It is easy as 1, 2, 3 to get your video uploaded to your computer and then your website. The hardest part is editing, but if you do a few practice takes and learn your stuff, you can get it right in no time! If you know how to use a computer and a video recorder, you can easily turn your re-branded e-book into a video or even a few videos.

It is affordable. When many of us think of videos, big budget movies often come to mind. Next, we think of funny cat videos on YouTube. This is not the same. You are creating how-to videos and tips and tricks videos.

For example, if the e-book you bought focused on internet marketing, record yourself implementing the tactics. Place your camera towards the screen, walk through each step, and describe it. You don’t have to spend thousands of dollars on scenery, hire professional actors, and so forth. You can do it yourself with a video camera you already own or borrowed from a friend.

More options you have: When deciding which approach to take, consider ease and profits. For example, you can create one long video, mini videos, and so forth. You also have options on how to make money. Video websites have rapidly increased in popularity. You can create your own themed website. Offer internet-marketing tips through videos instead of articles. You can make money with website ads, affiliate programs, and so forth. You can also create a subscription service. If your videos cover in-demand topics, people will pay to gain access. Upload new videos daily, weekly, or monthly.

You can make more money. Okay, you purchased an e-book. You can and should re-brand that e-book for sale. Consumers like digital products, both in print and in video format. Either will sell and generate income. Your best option is to capitalize on both. Consider the video formats an added bonus and a new business venture. The best way to profit from PLR products is to get the most use from them.

Videos are popular. Not everyone has the time to read a 100-page e-book on internet marketing. They know they want to make money online and they want to learn how, but as quickly as possible. For that reason, many turn to videos instead of written how-to guides. They are shorter and often right to the point. Plus, we all have different reading comprehension skills. You may understand your written words for using Google AdCreate an audio-bookSense, but someone else may not. It would be easier for them to see your actions in video format, as opposed to reading the directions.

As you can see, it is very easy and worthwhile to take a PLR e-book, re-brand it as your own, and then create videos. Don’t limit yourself. Get the most from the private label products you buy. In fact, you can also expand to an audio book. This gives you three moneymaking opportunities from just one product! You are now making money from the e-book, videos, and audio book. What is amazing is that you only paid for one product!

* Turn angry customers into fans

Angry Customer

Have you ever encountered an angry customer? No doubt you probably have and the encounter may have not been a pleasant one at all.

Let’s take a look at some helpful solutions that ends with the result of turning your angry customer into a fan.
The one rule you want to remember is that one angry customer is likely to tell at least 10 people about their unpleasant experience. These 10 people will then tell 10 and so the pattern repeats. You could potentially end up losing a hundred customers or more, all because of the one angry customer.
Of course, you want to avoid this happening at all costs, so what is the right way to deal with this type of situation?
One important thing to note here is that research has shown that the majority of customers do not suddenly blow their cool. Their anger or
dissatisfaction is a consequence of events that has happened over a period of time.
For example if a company never answers the phone or takes days to answer emails, this makes a customer upset. The person is trying to contact someone to ask a question or get an issue resolved. They are made to feel as though all the company was interested in was their payment. There is no solid customer service in place, and their repeated attempts of talking to someone have gone unanswered.
If this happens several times, you can easily see and sympathize with the person. Wouldn’t you be angry too?
For you as a business person, it is then important to ensure that you have a good support system in place. Can your customers easily connect with someone, do you have a dedicated support desk in place? When and if, you do have to deal with that angry customer here is the best way to handle the situation.

1. Acknowledge the issue and apologize
2. Empathize with your customer by asking questions and by listening to their reply
3. Resolve the issue as quickly as possible
4. Keep your promise to your customer and follow up to ensure that the problem is fixed
5. After about a week follow up with the customer to see if they are now satisfied with your resolution.
While the above steps are simple enough they are not performed by business owners nearly enough. While your first reaction may be to argue back, do not. Instead, listen to your customer as you will gain some valuable insights to how your company is viewed.

Happy CustomerLet me tell you about an experience I had just a short time ago. I ordered a software that I thought would be good to sell back to customers. When I tried out the program, it just didn’t work. I wrote to the seller about it. Within 24 hours he replied. He apologized, and gave me the choice of a refund or I could choose another product from his site.  I chose the latter.  He not only did as he said he would, but also added another product for free.  Because of this service, I am likely to choose another product from him first, rather than look somewhere else.  Service pays!

* Why Do So Many Internet Startups Fail?

failEveryday out there millions and millions of people drag themselves from the warm, warm beds, take a shower, grab a cup of coffee, and head off to their jobs as they are thinking that there has got to be an easier way to make a living.  Every one of those people knows somebody who has quit the ‘get-up-and-go-to-work’ grind and is making a very good living by working on their personal computers from the comfort of their own homes.

Working from home sounds like an ideal solution to them. Many of these dissatisfied souls will quit their jobs and plunge head-first into internet marketing with no preparation, no knowledge of what they are doing, and no education.

The fact is more than 90% of all Internet business start-ups end in failure within the first 120 days. Yes, you read that right. NINETY PERCENT! This failure rate should be a warning to those who are considering trying their hand at making a go of working on the Internet rather than at a job in the brick and mortar world.

Of course, success is possible. There IS that other 10% that do succeed. The thing is, success doesn’t happen by accident. Success happens because of some very important factors. Success happens because people have the right ideas about internet marketing and how it works. They do not expect to get rich quick or be able to make a killing overnight and retire to a tropical island.

It is strange, but somehow the same people who wouldn’t dream of starting a real world business, think they can make a go of an internet business even though they have no business background. People will go into an internet business with the idea that they no longer have to get up and go to work. They think they can simply work when they feel like it and still make a good living. They simply do not expect to have to work hard or work long hours.

PerceptionWrong Perceptions about the Internet

The 90% failure rate of new Internet businesses really isn’t all that surprising when you stop to think about the people who are starting internet businesses.

For some unknown reason most people think that running a successful internet business is as easy as getting a website built and hanging out an ‘open for business’ sign. They couldn’t be more wrong.

Running a successful internet business of any kind requires self-discipline. People will start an internet business and think that they can party all night, sleep until noon and then make a living in 3 or 4 hours sitting in front of a computer. It isn’t going to happen.

Internet businesses do not run on auto-pilot. It is true that some well-established internet marketing gurus do not have to put in long, tedious hours on their businesses but it is a privilege that that has been earned by putting in a lot of long and tedious hours.

It didn’t happen overnight for them and it won’t happen over night for anybody. Most people are totally unprepared for the time investment that must be made in order for an internet business to become successful.

businessNo Business Background

All businesses have two things in common. They are BUSINESSES and they must be run like businesses. The people who are in charge of a business need to understand the accepted practices of business.

They need to understand some simple and basic ideas like acceptable overhead expenses in relation to projected income. Internet entrepreneurs need to understand profit and loss.

A college degree in business in not essential for an internet business entrepreneur go be successful but it sure wouldn’t hurt. Just some basic business knowledge is absolutely vital.

If you have a hard time balancing your personal check book, you probably should keep your day job and take your time at starting an internet business.

It is true that you can hire accounting firms that will tell you WHEN you must make tax deposits, for example, but these firms will not be able to tell you IF you need to make them.

Accounting firms can tell you whether or not you made a profit but not how to make it. If you have no business background you would do well to try to eed to get some good business advice before you even begin opening an online business. The fact is that all successful businesses operate on sound business principles.

It is not reasonable to expect to make a profit from a new business enterprise for several months.

You must have sufficient resources available to not only launch your business but provide for your own personal needs for an extended period of time. It’s called ‘capital’ and there is no way around the need for enough of it.

mindsetThe Right Mindset

You have most likely heard the phrase, ‘He has an attitude!” This is usually a derogatory remark made about a person with a disagreeable attitude.

But the word ‘attitude’ is an important one when discussing internet marketing start-ups. A good attitude – a good mindset can’t insure success but a bad attitude and a bad mindset can certainly guarantee failure.

Here are some wrong attitudes that will absolutely guarantee failure:

  1. I can work when I want to. Wrong! You can’t just work when you feel like it. You have to expect to put in long and tedious hours of very hard work to make a new internet enterprise succeed. It’s best to set a structure to your days.
  2. I can get rich quick! Wong! Selling the best product or service won’t mean anything until you gain credibility and people trust you.  That takes time and work. It is possible to make a very comfortable living with internet marketing enterprises, but it is isn’t quick or easy.
  1. I don’t need a business plan.  Wrong! Internet business is still business. All of the same business principles apply to online business as they apply to brick and mortar business. It is smart that you have a plan for success that is based upon sound business principles.
  2. When you have an internet business of your own, you don’t have a boss. Wrong! You are your boss. If you aren’t a person who can get specific task done in an organized and timely manner, you probably won’t succeed. Unless you are a boss who sets up a working schedule and establishes goals, you probably won’t succeed.

accomplishHow To Avoid Joining the Failing Masses

The thing about starting a business – any business – is that there is no guarantee of success under any circumstances.

Even big international businesses can fail at new business ventures. Failure can happen, but the possibility of success can be optimized.

You can optimize the possibility of success by:

  1. Having a good solid business plan in place BEFORE you launch your online business. There is an old saying: “Those who fail to plan, plan to fail”. A detailed set of plans for success needs to be made. You need to have knowledge of the steps from getting from point A to point B listed in detail that include realistic cost estimates for accomplishing each step.
  2. Expecting to work very hard to accomplish your goals. You shouldn’t expect everything to be easy. Things are rarely as easy as they look. Each step toward success requires work, time and patience. Sometimes things don’t work out right on the first try. You have to be willing to try again and again until you do succeed.
  3. Not falling for ‘get-rich-quick’ schemes. The internet world is full of those who prey upon those who are looking for quick and easy ways to become rich. Those ways do not exist.

Remember those statistics! Ninety percent of all new internet businesses fail in the first 120 days. You don’t have to be part of that majority. You can become a part of that 10% minority of successful internet business enterprises.
